Where did Atomic Cats come from?
This project was originally called Atomic Builder and was co-developed with the publisher. When we first set out to start this project, the game was limited to a set of mechanics and was focused on the exact reproduction of the gameplay of another project in a different setting. Later, the publishers dropped the project and we were spotted by other publishers.
After in-depth discussions and analysis of many games, we created a new USP of the game, wrote documentation (GDD), built the project's architecture, developed a new core loop, and improved the game's interface. During the work, we used some ready assets from the stores and made our own as well. Also, we used some technical solutions from the previous version, which speeded up the game's development considerably.
A lot of work was done with the transformation of the project. We put a lot of effort into the creation of the original level design, suitable animations and the preparation of an atmospheric soundtrack.
